Volume spike alerts: when trading suddenly picks up
Moves on high volume carry more weight than moves without it. Bellchain pings you when a candle’s volume reaches a multiple of the average, say together with a price jump or a breakout above the last high.

How it works
How Bellchain measures volume
The Volume node compares each candle’s volume with the average of the last 20. Its “Relative” output tells you how much more was traded: 3 means three times the usual amount. That way you can compare coins with very different trading activity.
On its own a volume spike is often just noise. Combined with AND it becomes a filter: price moved more than 2% on triple volume, or the price breaks its 50-candle high on more than three times the volume.
Relative volume above a factor, such as 3.
Together with a move in percent or a breakout.
For one coin or as a scanner across many.

Replay on real prices over 90 days up to 17 October 2026. In the app the replay covers 15 days without an account and on Free, 90 days from Pro. Past alerts say nothing about the future.
The volume of the current candle divided by the average of the last candles, 20 in the templates. A value of 3 means three times the usual amount.
Which factor makes sense?
That depends on the coin and the timeframe. The templates use 3; with 4 only real outliers fire, with 2 smaller spikes too. The replay shows beforehand how often the alert would have fired.
Which plan do I need?
The Volume node comes with Pro, and so does a scanner across several coins. You can test both templates in the replay on any plan, even without an account. Pro can be tried free for 7 days.
Where does the volume data come from?
From the candles of real crypto exchanges: volume is the amount of the coin traded in that candle. You pick the exchange in the candle.
